Waltz DVD Review from Amazon.com… We worked through a couple of beginner DVDs on waltz and took a beginning ballroom dance class at a community college. But once you've learned the basic patterns they usually teach in these classes, it's hard to get all the way through a song without getting bored. We needed to learn some new patterns.  In preparation for our silver wedding celebration... We started ballroom dance classes with Bob and Kathy in preparation for our silver wedding celebration. It quickly became obvious that they really enjoy both dancing and teaching dance. Their enthusiasm is contagious and we soon became hooked.They are very patient and will happily demonstrate and practice dance moves with you and your partner as often as desired. As talented dancers their classes are always a fun experience where you'll enjoy exercising as you learn new moves. Bob and Kathy have given us the gift of dance- now, instead of watching others having fun on the dance floor, we dance at every chance we can.

What we appreciate most about Robert and Kathy as teachers of ballroom dancing is that they break down even the most complicated dance patterns into small steps that can be readily mastered. Despite their own virtuosity on the dance floor, they haven't lost touch with what it feels like to learn a dance for the first time. They demonstrate the basic elements such as how the man should lead the step and how to maintain the correct frame. At the same time they focus attention on the fine points of a particular dance pattern in a way that helps more advanced dancers improve their style and confidence. Best of all, their love of dance and attunement to each other are contagious!
